Required for most socket circuits and wet locations.<\/li>\n      <li><b>100\u2013300 mA<\/b> \u2014 fire protection on feeders and installations.<\/li>\n      <li><b>\u2264 500 mA<\/b> \u2014 fault protection \/ disconnection where personal-shock protection is provided elsewhere.<\/li>\n    <\/ul>\n    <p>Standing (healthy) leakage from filters and long cables must stay well below the trip threshold. IEC 60364 guidance keeps the total steady leakage under about one third of I\u0394n, so the working rule is:<\/p>\n    <div class=\"jt-eq\">I\u0394n \u2265 3 \u00d7 standing leakage current<\/div>\n    <p>If several circuits share one RCD, their leakage adds up \u2014 split the load across more RCDs, or use a lower-leakage arrangement, rather than raising I\u0394n past the level required for protection.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"jt-note\"><span>\u26a0<\/span><span><b>Type and sensitivity are code-driven.<\/b> Whether a 30 mA RCD is mandatory, and which type, is set by the adopted wiring standard (IEC 60364-4-41, BS 7671, or local rules) and the equipment. Confirm the requirement for the destination before finalising.<\/span><\/div>\n\n    <h2>RCCB or RCBO?<\/h2>\n    <p>An <b>RCCB<\/b> provides residual-current protection only and needs an upstream MCB for overload and short-circuit protection. An <b>RCBO<\/b> combines both in one module, isolates the affected circuit alone, and suits per-circuit protection in a modern board. Choose the RCBO when board space and per-circuit selectivity matter; choose an RCCB + MCB to protect a group of final circuits together.<\/p>\n\n    <h2>Frequently asked questions<\/h2>\n    <div class=\"jt-faq\">\n      <details><summary>Can I still use a Type AC RCD?<\/summary><p>Many wiring standards no longer allow Type AC for general circuits because modern electronic loads produce pulsating DC residual currents it cannot detect.
